Breakdown of Goals by Categories; 2023

I felt it would be easier if I broke my goals down into categories. I’m sure my goals will change as the year progresses and I’ll update as those changes happen. *

PERSONAL

Establish a nightly skin care routune.

Get back into blogging. Ive been blogging off and on for the last 20 years. Writing has been something I’ve always loved doing; whether anyone reads my blog posts or not.

Go on adventures (alone) 2-3 times per month. Hiking and camping is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I would love to start something that would encourage others to join in.

Read 1-2 books per month.

Learn more about my culture and history; especially here in my hometown. African American Heritage. National Museum of African American Culture and History.

Travel to meet some of the most kick-ass women I’ve come to know.

Therapy sessions 1 x’s per week.

Continue to set boundaries. The Importance of Setting Personal Boundaries

FITNESS and HEALTH

Check with your insurance to see if gym memberships are included with your health care plan.

Keep my A1c within normal range. Understanding A1c. American Diabetes Association

Keep blood pressure under control; I’m no longer pre-hypertensive. American Heart Association

Work towards eating non-gluten foods. Gluten does a number on me and having hypothyrodism probably doesnt help matters. Hypothyroid Mom provides so much information about hypothyroid.

Workout 3-4x’s per week; cardio, yoga and strength training. I’m currently using the FitOn app. It’s not completely free.

In bed by 9:30 on weekdays and Sundays. My goal is to start getting up at 6am so I can go workout. Going to bed early, in the past, helped with getting up so early.

Stay on top of my water intake. However, Im finding that I cannot tolerate drinking the recommended amount and moreso on days that I’m not exercising or doing strenuous activities.

Stay on top of medical appointments

Learn more about the pros and cons of juicing

Start growing some veggies and fruits

BUSINESS/ORGANIZATION

Go into the office 1x’s per week

Promote my book

Set up a table at various times to raise awareness on social issues

Connect with some of the organizations within my community

Build up my organization

HOME

Paint the living room wall from the blue color

Buy a sectional for the living room

Fit a dining room table into kitchen area

Install floating shelves in the laundry room and master bathroom

Stay on top of power-washing our home

Have home checked to see if it needs to be re-leveled

Figure out what to do with the area that doesnt have grass so it looks more pleasing to the eye.

Stay on top of decluttering

FAMILY and MARRIED LIFE

Date nights 1-2x’s per week.

Re-connect with my family

Plan a camping trip with the family

Stay on top of birthdays so I can send out cards and/or giftcards

FINANCES and GETTING AFFAIRS in ORDER

Work towards paying off our home early; there are no penalties in doing so

Put more into savings

Update documents that may need updating. Getting Your Affairs in Order
